Taking suo motu cognisance of a recent report highlighting death of some 800 turtles in Gahirmatha marine sanctuary this year, a division bench of the Orissa High Court comprising Chief Justice S Muralidhar and Justice BP Routray issued notices to several government officials along with the environment and forest secretary to apprise the court by Friday (February 26) about steps taken to deal with the crisis.
