After more than 9 months there is some respite for the cinemagoers & multiplex operators. As per the guidelines issued by the Odisha Government under Unlock-8, cinema halls and theatres will be opened with 50 per cent capacity from January 1, 2021.

Open-air theatres, jatras, entertainment parks shall be permitted by the local authorities following the standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by Central government for COVID-19. They will be allowed to open only with compliance to safety protocols such as face masks, physical distancing and sanitization.

All Academic/ Technical/ Skill Development Institutions (except Medical Colleges) will remain closed till the concerned departments finalize the date of reopening in consultation with relevant stakeholders and issue necessary guidelines/ SOP.
