Odisha government has imposed a night curfew from 10 PM of tonight to 5AM tomorrow morning across the state. These restrictions have been imposed to avoid crowding in view of New Year Eve celebrations. The decision was conveyed by the Special Relief Commissioner, Pradeep Jena, through a tweet.

The government has requested the general public to cooperate. However, all essential services and movements will be allowed to continue during the curfew hours.

Earlier, the state government has already restricted the zero-night celebrations at hotels, pubs, banquet halls to prevent congregation on New Year’s Eve.
