As of  Wednesday evening, there were 553 confirmed cases of the coronavirus infection in India. The health ministry also revised the death toll in the country down to nine, saying the second death reported in Delhi was not due to the coronavirus. However, the tenth death was reported on Wednesday morning, when a person in Tamil Nadu died.
