As India's COVID-19 vaccination drive moves ahead, the Union government has decided to study whether the Covishield vaccine can be administered as a single dose instead of two shots. According to studies published in the science journal Nature, immunity against corona remains for at least one year and in most cases throughout life and vaccination further improves this immunity.
