Evan Fournier Game 2 Postgame Interview | Celtics vs Nets

Evan Fournier was interviewed after the Celtics were pummeled by the Nets. On his game and if he could have done more, Fournier said “I mean I don't know how many minutes I'll play but I did not play the whole fourth quarter, so that would have made a difference and you know sometimes just the way the game goes. The goal is not to get myself going the goal is to win...if we have guys playing well then the ball should go to them...I'm going to watch the film and this game was better than the last one as far as shooting the ball, and I'm going to watch the tape again and try to get better for game three.”

On Brooklyn’s defense, Fournier said “They are swarming, they are putting bodies and like I said they force you to play one-on-one...they were active defensively and you know we have to to work better...we have to do a better job to help JT you...so when there's help we can knock down shots, so we can play to his strengths.”

Brooklyn had no issue finding their shots, and Boston looked lost defensively at times. “Like I said you know I feel like defensively there was because they obviously were guarding them you know in game one and you know I don't give a good job playing defense and they've made some adjustments,” said Fournier. “They kind of put us in spots where it's a gray area. It's not a clear switch they kind of sleep early so you are a little bit in between ‘should I stay with my guy? should I go you know to switch?’ and that's what led to having them swinging the ball more freely.”
