Northumbria Police has appealed for motorists who were in the area of the tragedy, or may have dashcam footage, as they establish the circumstances of the crash involving the pedestrian and a bus.
It happened at 7.35pm yesterday, Friday, May 21, on Leechmere View in Hollycarrside, close to one of the street’s two junctions with Lynthorpe.
