Till date around 2% of India’s total population has been infected by Coronavirus. At a press briefing on Tuesday, Joint Secretary of Union Health Ministry, Lav Agarwal stated that there has been a decline of 27% in single-day cases from its peak on May 7 (4,14,000). He said that the country reported 2,63,000 daily cases in the last 24 hours, further indicating a downtrend in the daily positive cases.
