The pandemic travelled silently through the small roads to the villages in India, infecting both young and old. People complained of fevers, cough and breathlessness. Then they began to die. Health-care infrastructure in villages is missing or ill-equipped to tackle the pandemic needs. When Aajtak's team reached a village in Darbhanga, we found the locked health centres with dung on the walls.
