The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) is well prepared ahead of cyclone Tauktae, which has reached Goa and striking the coasts of Goa. Teams have been deployed in the state. The cyclone is causing heavy rainfall and strong winds in the coastal districts of Goa. NDRF personnel were seen removing uprooted trees that had blocked the area. The trees got uprooted due to the landfall of cyclone Tauktae. NDRF Deputy Commandant Pramod Yadav said, "One team of NDRF is removing uprooted trees due to Cyclone Tauktae as it has blocked the nearby Covid-19 hospital connectivity."
