कोविड की दूसरी लहर ने देश को बुरी तरह से प्रभावित किया है, रोजाना लाखों मामले ने सिर्फ सामने आ रहे हैं बल्कि लाखों लोंगो की मौत भी हो चुकी है, देश के कई राज्यों में पूर्ण तो कई आशिंक लॉकडाउन लगा हुआ है, जरुरत के सामनों को छोड़कर लगभग सभी चीजों पर रोक लगी हुई है, अभी देश की अर्थव्यवस्था पहले लॉकडाउन की मार से संभला भी नहीं था की देश को फिर लॉकडाउन की मार झेलनी पड़ रही है, कोरोना ने अर्थव्यवस्था को को भी अपनी चपेट में ले लिया है, देश में पिछले महीने में कई राज्यों में संक्रमण के प्रसार को रोकने के लिए लॉकडाउन का सहारा लिया है और इसका असर व्यापारियों पर बुरी तरह से पड़ा है, कन्फेडरेशन ऑफ ऑल इंडिया ट्रेडर्स ने बताया है कि पिछले 40 दिनों में घरेलू व्यापार को 7 लाख करोड़ का नुकसान हुआ है।

The second wave of the COVID-19 crisis in the country, the traders' body Confederation of All India Traders or CAIT has demanded an extension of compliances under the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Income Tax by three months from the central government. In a letter addressed to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman dated May 7, the Confederation of All India Traders stated that in the past 40 days, a loss of ₹ 7 lakh crore is reported in the non-corporate sector.
