City hospitals continued to gasp for oxygen on April 25 as they struggled to keep patients alive. Through the day, the government and other agencies were flooded with SOSs, warning of an impending doom. People took to social media to ask for information on availability of beds and said that most of the numbers were not working. RJD Leader Manoj Kumar Jha tweeted asking for leads for a hospital bed for a needy patient. A 500-oxygen bed Covid-19 care centre operated by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) was scheduled to open on April 26. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal extended the lockdown in the national capital by one week. On April 26, Delhi reported 22, 933 cases and 350 deaths. Meanwhile, Delhi will vaccinate all above 18 free of cost, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said.
