Bharat Biotech and the Serum Institute of India have announced price of their Covid-19 vaccines after the government opened up inoculation to all citizens above 18 years of age starting May 1.

Covaxin, the Covid-19 vaccine developed by Bharat Biotech, will be available at a price of Rs 600 per dose for state governments and Rs 1,200 per dose for private hospitals. The Serum Institute has fixed Covishiled's price at Rs 400 for state governments and Rs 600 for private hospitals.
