Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday urged migrant workers to avoid returning to their home states in the middle of a pandemic and assured them that their livelihoods will not be affected. Addressing the nation, PM Modi asked the states to ensure workers that they must stay where they are. "The assurance given by the state will help migrants believe that they will soon be vaccinated in the city where they are living and their livelihood will also not be affected," PM Modi said in the televised address.
