Today is the third day of Chhath Mahaparva lasting for four days. Arghya will be given to the setting sun this evening. It is also called Sandhya Arghya. The method of offering arghya to the rising sun is in many fasts and festivals but the tradition of offering arghya to the setting sun is only in Chhath. Bamboo baskets are decorated with fruits, thekua, rice laddus and items of worship before offering arghya.
