India has 14.71 lakh active cases of Covid-19 while 1.24 crore patients have recovered. Reeling under the pressure of the second wave of infections, states and union territories have put in place a number of restrictions, including local lockdowns, weekend and night curfews and enhanced testing. As the Covid cases increase, the Chandigarh administration on Friday announced weekend lockdown.
