With the surge in the Covid cases, Lucknow Police were seen distributing masks and issuing challans to those moving around the city without masks and were seen violating the basic Covid-19 protocols at public places. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central), Chiranjeev Nath Sinha said, “Team has been deployed for each ward to stop the spread of second wave of Covid-19 and even police is making people aware of wearing masks and maintaining social distancing. People who are moving around the city and violating the Covid protocols are issued challans and checking done on the huge crowd places.”
