Steve Nash was interviewed after the Nets’ 126-101 loss vs the Los Angeles Lakers. The story of the game was when Dennis Schroder and Kyrie Irving got ejected early in the third quarter.
The pair seemingly exchanged words and got in each others’ faces before receiving double techs and getting tossed. The media asked Coach Nash about the incident after the game.
“I don’t really know what happened,” said Nash. “I’m not sure what was said or what triggered it… Haven’t had a chance to hear what happened at all.”
Nash also addressed some of the issues from the game after such a tough loss. “They were the aggressor, they hit first,” said the first-year coach. The Lakers were without stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis in this game. Meanwhile, Brooklyn was without James Harden. Kevin Durant and Irving both played. “We didn’t match their physicality and competitive fire.”
