As Covid-19 cases are rapidly surging in India, the country reported 1,31,968 new cases on April 9. With this, active cases have reached to 9,79,608. While total cases have mounted to 1,30,60,542 with 1,19,13,292 total recoveries. 780 deaths in the last 24 hours took the toll to 1,67,642. According to Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 25,40,41,584 samples were tested for Covid-19 up to April 8. Of these 13,64,205 samples were tested yesterday.
