Maharashtra’s coronavirus tally has mounted to over 4.72 lakh after the state reported 55,469 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday. The state currently has 4,72,283 active Covid-19 cases, the highest in India. Maharashtra is seeing a rise in daily Covid-19 cases since mid-February but the figures have started rising exponentially over the past fortnight. The state has broken all previous records and is now regularly reporting more than 50,000 cases every day. For more, watch the full video.
