Maharashtra reports 55,469 Covid-19 cases, Demand for CBSE board exams to be conducted online; more

Maharashtra reported 55,469 Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, while Chhattisgarh scaled a new peak of 9,921 cases. Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi reported more than 5,000 cases each. According to the latest Covid-19 bulletin, Maharashtra recorded 297 Covid-19 deaths on Tuesday. With this, the state's Covid-19 toll has risen to 56,330 and its case fatality rate is 1.81 per cent.
