In his first game since playing in the bubble in Orlando, Romeo Langford made his season debut at TD Garden after recovering from wrist surgery and COVID. Langford (12 MIN, 3 PTS, 1 REB, 1 AST, 1 STL, 1 BLK) only played in a brief stint in his return, but that was expected as he ramps up his conditioning to get back into the fold and help contribute to the Celtics. When speaking on his battle with COVID, Langford said he was suffering from some serious flu-like symptoms for 4-to-5 days, and he still hasn't recovered his sense of smell. Due to his status, he was unable to participate in basketball activities for a little over two weeks, and now that he's back it's all about getting his legs under him as he builds up his strength. When asked about his defensive impact, he feels like he's good in isolation defense and doesn't need to have the team overhelp if he gets caught one on one. He also admitted that every once in a while, he still has lingering breathing issues from COVID, but they've become less frequent since his first return workout.
