West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who contested against protege-turned-rival Suvendu Adhikari in Nandigram, expressed confidence on Friday that she would win from the constituency. The TMC chief made the following statement while addressing a rally in Cooch Behar. Nandigram witnessed more than 80 per cent voter turnout on Thursday.
Meanwhile, a BJP delegation on Friday met Election Commission (EC) officials and demanded action against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, alleging she violated elections norms in her Nandigram constituency while votes were being cast during the second phase of polling on Thursday.
