On the occasion of Rajasthan Diwas (March 30), state government released 1,349 prisoners from different jails. “Maximum of the prisoners included those who have completed 14 years in jail and earned remission of two and a half years for good conduct,” informed Rajeev Dasot, Director General (Jail), Rajasthan.

राजस्थान दिवस पर प्रदेश भर की सभी जेलों में लंबे समय से सजा काट रहे कैदियों को बड़ी राहत मिली है. राजस्थान दिवस के मौके पर प्रदेश की जेलों से 1,349 कैदियों को समय से पहले रिहा किया गया है. राज्य सरकार से मिले इस अनमोल तोहफे के कारण कैदियों पर से सजा की तलवार हट गई. इस खास मौके पर जयपुर जेल में उपहार देकर बैंड बाजे की धुन के साथ सलाखों में बंद कैदियों को रिहा किया गया।
