Brad Stevens was interviewed postgame after the Celtics’ 121-119 loss vs the Bucks. He commented on the team’s play late, saying they played with some solid aggressiveness. “I think if we would have played better earlier, maybe we’d be in a better position, but guys hung together and competed.” The C’s have struggled to win in the clutch all season.
Stevens also talked about Daniel Theis’ three at the end of the game. He said it was a good shot, but that the Celtics would have been better off if they had figured things out earlier. Theis had an open look to win the game, but it just didn’t fall.
The Bucks shot an overwhelming 45.9% from three. “I thought they hit us in the mouth and kept punching,” said Stevens. Milwaukee has some great shooters around superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. Big man Bobby Portis tied his season-high with 21 points on 4-6 shooting from deep.
