Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora says that the Remote voting may see the light of the day by 2024 Lok Sabha elections. A team of technocrats and experts from IIT, Chennai and some other IITs are working on it in full swing. We hope to see the first pilot project in next 2-3 months.

ఇదివరకు బ్యాలెట్ల పద్ధతిన ఓట్లను వినియోగించుకోవడాన్ని చూశాం. దాని తరువాత ఎలక్ట్రానిక్ ఓటింగ్ యంత్రాలొచ్చాయి. ఇప్పుడవి కూడా కనుమరుగు కానున్నాయి. వాటి స్థానంలో రిమోట్లు రానున్నాయి. రిమోట్ ద్వారా ఓటర్లు తమ ఓటు హక్కును వినియోగించుకునే సరికొత్త విధానం దేశంలో అందుబాటులోకి రానుంది.
