France's Health Minister Olivier Veran says that "people are not in danger" if they have received AstraZeneca vaccine, saying he himself has also had the jab. Several European countries including France and Germany have temporarily suspended use of the vaccine over fears of side effects, but the EU's medicines regulator has said there is so far "no indication" the AstraZeneca vaccine causes blood clots.
