On March 14, National Congress Party President Sharad Pawar claimed that BJP will lose elections in the remaining four states except Assam. He said that the trend of elections in five states will give the country a new direction. Talking to reporters at Baramati in Pune district, Pawar criticized the central government for misusing power in the electoral state of West Bengal.

नेशनल कांग्रेस पार्टी के अध्यक्ष शरद पवार ने 14 मार्च को दावा किया कि असम को छोड़ कर बीजेपी बाकी चार राज्यों में चुनाव हारेगी. उन्होंने कहा कि पांच राज्यों में चुनाव के रुझान से देश को एक नयी दिशा मिलेगी. पुणे जिले के बारामती में संवाददाताओं से बातचीत में पवार ने चुनावी राज्य पश्चिम बंगाल में शक्ति का दुरुपयोग करने के लिये केंद्र सरकार की आलोचना की .
