There is no evidence of an attack carried out on Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, the Election Commission said on Sunday after inspecting the reports submitted to it on the Nandigram incident in which the TMC supremo suffered injuries and fractured her leg.

This comes a day after poll observers on Saturday submitted to the Election Commission that the Nandigram incident, which caused injury to Mamata Banerjee was an accident and not a planned attack.
