Mamata Banerjee started her political career with Congress in 1970. She joined Congress as general secretary. In 1984 Mamata defeated CP(M) leader Somnath Chatterjee from Jadavpur Lok Sabha seat and she becomes the youngest MP of the country. In 1998 Mamata formed the TMC party. Watch the video to know more.
