The crash reportedly occurred on Wednesday afternoon on the Drummond’s land near Pawhuska, Okla. CBS Local 21 News reports that a fire had broken out on the ranch during this time. As they were attempting to put out the flames, Drummond’s 21-year-old nephew, Caleb, accidentally drove his fire truck head-on into the one being driven by Drummond’s husband, Ladd. Caleb was ejected roughly 70 feet from his seat, and was later taken to Tulsa hospital in critical condition. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Ladd refused treatment at the scene of the accident. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol further stated that the trucks crashed on a gravel country road where visibility had been reduced due to high winds. KJRH News further reports that Drummond posted on social media that both her husband and her nephew remain in the hospital. However, both are expected to be okay.
