West Bengal Minister for Urban Development & Municipal Affairs, Firhad Hakim on Thursday demanded a probe in the matter of state Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s alleged attack, and also informed that their party MPs, under Saugata Roy's leadership will go to the Election Commission of India (ECI) tomorrow (Friday) to demand a probe. He said, “People are saying that it happened after the vehicle hit an iron pole. Had that been the case, there would've been scratch marks on vehicle? But there's none. It means CM was standing on footboard & greeting people when she was pushed. We're demanding probe.” “Our MPs are going to ECI tomorrow, under Saugata Roy's leadership, to demand probe. A BJP MP had said wait & watch what'll happen on 10th. ADG (Law & Order) & DG were removed from their posts. There was no police or management for crowd control? All this should be probed,” he added CM Banerjee on March 10 suffered injury after being allegedly ‘pushed’ by few persons in Nandigram. She is currently admitted at IPGMER & SSKM Hospital in Kolkata.
