At a north Indian location, and post the Corona lockdown, a borewell is deepened and extended in a farm area. The Boki is lowered and mud, stones and malba are pulled out in a basket. Once cleared and deepened, this old bore well is restored to functionality, with a submersible KSB or Kirloskar type pump being lowered to the water level, along with a power cable to power it. The water is then pumped up through the pipe. A tripod has been formed to take the weight of the device being lowered. The muddy water is drained out until fresh and pure water is reached (meetha pani).
