In New Jersey, at a timber farm turned shelter for women who have experienced domestic violence, Gloria's struggles, like those of many abuse survivors, have worsened with the coronavirus pandemic. Cheryl, a manager at the 'Strengthen Our Sisters' shelter, explains that it's more difficult for women to get help: "You can't really use court, you can't use social services. You barely can go into a domestic violence shelter". In April 2020, was already a "shadow pandemic".
