Hundreds of Maasai men, with their heads coated in red ochre, take part in the final rite of passage to transition from Morans (warriors) to elders. Maasai males go through three rites of passage in their lifetime, Enkipaata, Eunoto and Olng’esherr, and these three ceremonies have been added to UNESCO's list of Intangible Cultural Heritage in need of urgent safeguarding.
