Pakistan batsman Umar Akmal will be able to resume his cricket career after the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) reduced his suspension to 12 months and imposed a fine of 4.25 million on him for breach of the Anti-Corruption Code.The CAS announced its decision in a consolidated order on the appeals filed by Umar and the Pakistan Cricket Board.

पाकिस्तानी क्रिकेटर उमर अकमल को पाकिस्तान क्रिकेट बोर्ड ने राहत दी है, उनपर लगाया गया 3 साल का प्रतिबंध घटाकर अब 1 साल का कर दिया गया है, कोर्ट ऑफ आर्बिट्रेशन फॉर स्पोर्ट्स ने उमर अकमल की अपील पर उनका प्रतिबंध 3 साल से घटाकर सिर्फ 12 महीने का कर दिया है, बता दें कि पाकिस्तानी बोर्ड ने अकमल के ऊपर 3 साल का प्रतिबंध लगाया था जो फरवरी 2020 में शुरू हुआ था, हालांकि उमर अकमल को करीब 42.5 लाख पाकिस्तानी रुपये का जुर्माना लगाया गया है।
