भारत और इंग्लैंड के बीच दुनिया के सबसे बड़े क्रिकेट स्टेडियम में चार मैचों की टेस्ट सीरीज का तीसरा मुकाबला खेला जा रहा है. अहमदाबाद के मोटेरा में बने नरेंद्र मोदी स्टेडियम में पहली बार कोई इंटरनेशनल मैच खेला जा रहा है. इस मैच में इंग्लैंड की टीम के कप्तान जो रूट ने टॉस जीतकर पहले बल्लेबाजी करने का फैसला किया, लेकिन इंग्लैंड की टीम ने 48.4 ओवर में 112 रन पर ढेर हो गई. इसके जवाब में भारतीय टीम ने पहले दिन का खेल खत्म होने तक 3 विकेट पर 99 रन बनाए थे. रोहित शर्मा 57 रन जबकि अजिंक्य रहाणे 1 रन बनाकर खेल रहे थे.

In response to England's first innings score of 112 runs, India have put themselves in a strong position on Day 1 of the 3rd Test match, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Despite losing three wickets, the hosts are gaining momentum and are 99 for three at Stumps, after 33 overs. Rohit Sharma, is currently unbeaten with Ajinkya Rahane, and the duo will be aiming to build a partnership on Day 3. Earlier, Rohit built a strong partnership with Virat Kohli, but the Indian captain was dismissed by Jack Leach.
