The Indian Army has adopted new techniques to train soldiers deployed in Kashmir Valley.
Troops in 15 Corps Battle School in Srinagar are undergoing a vigorous training course on counter-insurgency and counter-terror operations.
Special combat training is being given through real-life situations which include climbing rock walls, firing in different ranges, walk on different situations during operations, and classes about the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) and strategies on managing civilians during operations.
The soldiers who are to be deployed at Line of Control (LoC) will undergo 14 days training program and those who are to be deployed in the Kashmir Valley for counter-terror operations have to undergo 28 days course.
