Two bodies were recovered in the early hours of Sunday on the eighth day of the rescue operation being carried out to rescue the people trapped in the disaster-struck Tapovan tunnel in Uttarakhand. Due to the disaster in the same place, the Ganga Canal is getting more debris, silt, mud, wood ash and pieces of plants etc., due to which the Delhi Jal Board's Sonia Vihar and Bhagirathi water treatment plants are functioning below their capacity .

उत्तराखंड की आपदाग्रस्त तपोवन सुरंग में फंसे लोगों को बाहर निकालने के लिए चलाए जा रहे बचाव अभियान के आठवें दिन रविवार को तड़के दो शव बरामद हो गए. वंही में आपदा के चलते गंग नहर में हद से ज्यादा मलबा, गाद, कीचड़, लकड़ी की राख और पौधों के टुकड़े आदि आ रहे हैं, जिसके चलते दिल्ली जल बोर्ड के सोनिया विहार और भागीरथी वाटर ट्रीटमेंट प्लांट अपनी क्षमता से नीचे काम कर रहे हैं.
