Bengaluru climate activist 'picked up' from home in Greta Thunberg 'toolkit' case

A 21-year-old climate activist, identified as Disha Ravi, was "picked up" from Bengaluru, Karnataka, for questioning in Greta Thunberg "toolkit" case on Sunday. She was picked up from her house in Soladevanahalli area of Bengaluru in connection with the case regarding "toolkit", shared by climate enthusiast Greta Thunberg in connection with the farmers' protest. Disha Ravi is accused of disseminating the toolkit.

Greta Thunberg, other international figures had recently shared solidarity posts related to farmers' movement in India on Twitter. The 18-year-old climate enthusiast fanned controversy after she shared a "toolkit" in order to mark solidarity with the farmers' protest over India's new contentious farm laws -- the Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020; Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020, and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
