Uber Partners With Walgreens to Offer
Free Rides to Vaccination Sites .
Uber has announced a
new initiative to assist with
COVID-19 vaccination efforts
in the United States. .
The ride-share company
has pledged to give 10 million
free rides to those going to
get their COVID-19 vaccine. .
Today, we’re committing 10 million rides
to make it easier for people to get the
COVID-19 vaccine. Because needing a ride

A trial run of Uber’s program
is currently underway in
Houston, Atlanta, Chicago
and El Paso, Texas. .
The initiative is in partnership with Walgreens, one of
21 national pharmacies that has teamed up with the
federal government to inoculate Americans. .
Uber is also working closely with National
Urban League and other organizations to identify
those most in need of transportation. .
We’re beginning this effort in partnership
with … organizations with deep ties to
communities of color that have been
disproportionately hurt by the pandemic

Uber’s announcement came on
the same day that Lyft announced
their own new features that are
aimed at aiding vaccine efforts. .
