15 workers of Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh are also missing in the devastation caused by the glacier burst in Joshimath, Uttarakhand. There is chaos in the family as soon as the tragedy is reported. At the time of the devastation, many workers working in Tapovan's power project got stuck in the tunnel. These include 15 youths from village Babu Purwa, Bherampur, Manjha and Kadia of Nighasan tehsil area who went to work in the power project.

उत्तराखंड के जोशीमठ में ग्लेशियर फटने से आई भीषण तबाही में उत्तर प्रदेश के लखीमपुर खीरी जिले के 15 मजदूर भी लापता हैं. त्रासदी की सूचना मिलते ही परिजनों में कोहराम मचा हुआ है. जिस वक्त तबाही आई उस वक्त तपोवन के पॉवर प्रोजेक्ट में काम कर रहे कई मजदूर टनल में फंस गए. इनमें निघासन तहसील क्षेत्र के गांव बाबू पुरवा, भेरमपुर, मांझा और कड़िया के 15 युवक भी शामिल हैं जो पावर प्रोजेक्ट में काम करने के लिए गये थे.
