New Yorkers and tourists are enjoying themselves in Central Park and Times Square as a huge snowstorm hits the United States east coast, bringing up to two feet (60 centimeters) of snow.

The snowstorm has cancelled thousands of flights, closed schools and forced the postponement of coronavirus vaccinations as New York City steeled itself for possibly one of its heaviest ever snowfalls.
