Located in an isolated area of South India, this deciduous forest and hill-scape is a perfect habitat for India's elusive sloth bears. These bears share this place with Indian peafowl and other birds. Sloth Bears (Melursus Ursinus) live in open scrub forests having outcrops of rocks, tumbled boulders and caves which they shelter in. This is a lovely little scene from wild India, with peafowl and sloth Bears foraging in happy co-existence. Incidentally, peafowl are not typically on the menu for Indian bhalus!
