Joseph R Biden has been elected the next president of the United States after beating incumbent Donald Trump by winning over 74.8 million votes and 284 electoral college votes. Trump won just 70.59 million votes and 214 electoral college votes. According to the U.S. electoral system, the presidential candidate has to win 270 electoral college votes to become the President of the United States. Biden’s running mate, Kamala Harris will become the first woman to enter the White House as Vice President.
