Priyanca Radhakrishnan, who became New Zealand’s first-ever Indian-origin minister, addressed her country’s parliament in Malayalam. Taking to Twitter, Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that Priyanca has done India proud and lauded her efforts of addressing New Zealand's parliament in Malayalam. Priyanca Radhakrishnan became New Zealand's first-ever Indian-origin minister after Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern inducted five new ministers into her executive. Priyanca Radhakrishnan was born in Chennai and raised in Singapore, with roots at Paravur in Kerala. Radhakrishnan, 41, went to school in Singapore before moving to New Zealand for further education. Radhakrishnan was showered with praises and congratulations on social media from all quarters.
