A political controversy erupted on the portrait of Hindutva ideologue Vinayak Damodar Savarkar in the picture gallery of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council has sparked a row. Congress raised an objection on the portrait over seeking its removal from UP house. On the other hand Grandson of Veer Savarkar, Ranjit Savarkar reacted on the row over by saying that Savarkar had not apologized, he had raised his voice for the release of other prisoners.
