As many as 21 'Rakshita'- bike ambulances were inducted into Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) for the evacuation of the security force personnel in remote regions. Dr AP Maheshwari, DG CRPF and Dr AK Singh, DS & DG (LS), DRDO unveiled the bike ambulance at CRPF Headquarters in New Delhi developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation's (DRDO) Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS) in collaboration with CRPF for golden hour life-saving aid and evacuation.

Central Reserve Police Force और Defence Research and Development Organisation ने एक विशेष रूप से विकसित 'RAKSHITA' को लॉन्च किया. जब घने जंगल जैसे नक्सल प्रभावित इलाकों में सुरक्षा बलों के ऑपरेशन के दौरान घायल जवानों को तत्काल मेडिकल हेल्प की जरूरत होती है. उस समय ये काफी मददगार साबित होगी। अगर फील्ड में ऑपरेशन के दौरान कोई कमांडो घायल होता है तो वहां उसकी मदद के लिए बाइक एम्बुलेंस तैयार रहेंगी. इन्हें 'रक्षिता' नाम दिया गया है.
