Secret intelligence site Bletchley Park played a vital but secret role in the Allies' efforts to end the Second World War. The stately mansion 50 miles outside London was chosen as the main British intelligence headquarters as sites in cities were more likely to be bombed. The staff worked in strict secrecy to crack German codes and unravel Nazi intelligence.
