French President Emmanuel Macron has tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday, the presidency said, adding that he would now self-isolate for the next week. "The president tested positive for Covid-19 today," it said in a statement, adding that he had been tested after the "onset of the first symptoms".

कोरोना की चपेट में आने वाले दुनिया के बड़े राजनेताओं की लिस्ट में अब फ्रांस के राष्ट्रपति मैक्रों का नाम भी शामिल हो गया है। राष्‍ट्रपति इमैनुएल मैक्रों कोरोना पॉजिटिव पाए गए हैं। कोरोना के हल्‍के लक्षण दिखने के बाद मैक्रों ने टेस्‍ट कराया जिसमें वो वायरस से संक्रमित पाए गए। देश की सरकार ने इसकी जानकारी दी है और बताया है कि राष्ट्रपति सात दिन के लिए आइसोलेट होने वाले हैं।
